Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (2023)

With the Presidential Decree No. 7477 published in the Official Gazette dated 04.08.2023 and numbered 32269, it was decided to close the “Faculty of Science and Letters” and to establish the “Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences”. The faculty offers education in the departments of Archaeology, Geography, Philosophy, English Language and Literature, English Translation and Interpreting, Psychology, Art History, Sociology, History and Turkish Language and Literature.


Faculty of Science and Letters (1992-2023)

Our faculty was established in 1992 with the law numbered 3837 and started education in 1993-1994 academic year. Our faculty has 14 departments: Archaeology, Biology, Geography, Philosophy, Physics, English Language and Literature, English Translation and Interpreting, Chemistry, Mathematics, Psychology, Art History, Sociology, History and Turkish Language and Literature. In addition, History and Turkish Language and Literature Departments also have secondary education. The main aim of our faculty is to train scientists and researchers. Our graduates work in public and private sector institutions. Our students who receive pedagogical formation education can also work as teachers in institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education and private schools. The path to becoming an academician is also open for our students who complete their master's and doctorate degrees.
